Summary:
- Responsible for insulating our evaporators and piping systems as required for HVAC systems.
Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut and form insulation to cover fittings
- Remove and dispose of old insulation
- Review blueprints and specifications to determine the amount and type of insulation needed
- Secure insulation with specific materials
- Install barriers to protect insulation
- Use of various hand tools
Physical Demands:
- Perform medium, repetitive work in a manufacturing environment.
- Frequently required to crouch or kneel.
- Standing for at least 8 hours or longer if required. Constantly use hand to finger, grasp, or handle, objects, tools, or controls.
- Frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, bend or stoop.
- Frequently required to lift materials weighing less than 40 pounds.
- Frequently required to push or pull or move components and materials into position.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous insulation experience is required
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Proficient with hand tools and blueprints/drawings
- HVAC knowledge is a plus
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
