Job Summary: This role is an Assembler with our outstanding production team at Arctic Cool Chillers Limited in Brampton, On, Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Assembly of base frames and squaring up units after assembled
- Mount refrigeration components onto frame (compressors, evaporators, condensers, fans)
- Basic welding and tacking of steel pipes
- Sheet metal assembly and occasional brazing
- Reading and interpreting Bill of Material and Engineering drawings
- Must be able to work safely, be dedicated to performing quality work, and be productive.
- Identify and operate proper tools needed to complete tasks and use them effectively.
- Use hand and power tools
- Read blueprints and schematics to determine dimensions, design and materials needed for performing duties
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime on evening/weekends.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent proof of education required
- Previous experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment preferred
- Experience with various hand tools and reading/interpreting drawings
- Must know how to read and use tape measure
Physical Demands:
- Perform medium, repetitive work in a manufacturing environment.
- Standing for at least 8 hours or longer if required. Constantly use hand to finger, grasp, or handle, objects, tools, or controls.
- Frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, bend or stoop.
- Frequently required to lift materials weighing less than 40 pounds.
- Frequently required to push or pull or move components and materials into position.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
