Painter (2nd shift)
FULL-TIME POSITION ON 2nd SHIFT
Education: High school diploma or GED
Certifications: Forklift, if necessary

- Rejected or reworked painted parts
Minimum Qualifications
- Comfortable with using computer (email, data entry, and touch screens for equipment)
Introductory Level: Primary focus is learning the process
- Successful completion of introductory period (6 months)
- Understands, accepts, and supports vision and key business goals
- Supports and demonstrates a well-organized, safe and clean workplace
- Basic understanding, support and commitment to the team and continuous improvement
- Resolves the problems at the lowest level possible
- Identifies possible solutions when communicating problems

- Understands the importance of safety, quality, delivery and cost
- Responsive to internal and external customer needs
Essential Functions (Maximum Timeframe 6 months)
- Able to properly inspect, load and unload the paint system
- Able to properly prepare parts for the paint system (sanding, plugging, eye bolts, etc)
- Able to load, unload and operate the burn-off oven
- Understand and follow the work instructions and quality standards for the department
- Have a basic understanding of documentation (examples include ISO, Windchill, Kanban, and TKSs)

- Understand and demonstrate proper sequencing of the system
- Understand kanban systems and their elements (including the FIFO supermarket)
- Able to demonstrate the ability to operate the sequencing computer system.
- Able to train others in all aspects of the position
