Electrical Engineer Power
Job Summary:
- Design electrical power systems for transport refrigeration and HVAC units
- Identify and select electrical components such as motors, drives, inverters, contactors, fuses and filters based on system requirements
- Develop new components together with suppliers or participate in internal design
- Identify and design to meet relevant electrical transport / automotive / industry standards and regulations
- Prepare test plans to validate new system, performance, support testing process, analyze and interpret results, complete documentation
- Cooperate with internal / external labs and vehicle manufacturers on testing and problem solving (EMC, functional, electric safety).
- Be ready to travel with measuring apparatus to validate electrical / EMC operating conditions of HVAC on prototype electric buses / trolleybuses
- Closely proactively cooperate with software engineers
Job requirements:
Essential
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical engineering
- 5+ years engineering experience in electrical systems development
- Presentation and communication skills
- Communicative English skills
- Teamwork capability, willingness to listen, learn and share knowledge
Preferred
- Power electronics, electric motors or EMC engineering background
- Understanding of electrical components such as motors, drives, inverters, filters, etc.
- Experience with power quality measurement & evaluation
- Experience with power PCB design (EAGLE or other PCB design software)
- Experience with EMC design, standards and measurement
- Knowledge of CAN bus communication
- Knowledge of specifics of automotive or transport industry
